The Pods takes its name from something found underfoot. The Zambezi teak — Baikiaea plurijuga — is the dominant hardwood of the Victoria Falls region, a slow-growing giant that gives this corner of Zimbabwe its distinctive character. Its seed pods — hard, curved, and quietly beautiful — are scattered across the ground and found growing on the property itself. A name rooted in the same soil the building stands on.
